- The OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (“OCBC Bank”) “Instalment Payment Plans Usage Promotion” (“IPP”) is open to all OCBC Bank Principal and Supplementary Credit Card members (“Cardmembers”) who are valid and in good standing; and will be determined by OCBC Bank at its sole and absolute discretion.
- The promotion shall run from 1 January 2011 – 30 June 2012 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
- OCBC Cardmembers are entitled to the following Instalment Payment Plan (IPP):

- In relation to Cardmember’s participation in the IPP:
- The OCBC Cardmember’s Agreement shall apply in conjunction with these Instalment Payment Plan Usage Promotion Terms & Conditions.
- In the event of any inconsistency between the OCBC Cardmember’s Agreement and these Instalment Payment Plan Usage Promotion Terms & Conditions, these Instalment Payment Plan Usage Promotion Terms & Conditions shall prevail in so far as they apply to the IPP.
- The minimum instalment amount to qualify for the IPP is RM1,000.00.
- The instalment amount shall be taken into account when computing the available credit limit. The credit limit shall be reduced by the amount of instalment amount and shall be restored as each instalment paid by Cardmember.
- OCBC Bank reserves the right to reject the application to participate in the IPP without giving any reason thereof. OCBC Bank is not and shall not be held liable or responsible in any manner for direct, indirect, special or consequential damages arising out of any such rejection.
- Each IPP shall be calculated by dividing the instalment amount by the number of months constituting the instalment tenure.
- The number of instalments, the amount of each instalment and instalment tenure cannot be altered after the application without the Bank’s written consent.
- The first instalment will be charged to Cardmember’s Credit Card account the month following the Bank’s acceptance of the application to participate in the IPP and the subsequent instalments shall be charged on a monthly basis thereafter.
- The Bank makes no representation as to the quality or performance of the goods and services.
- The Bank is not an agent of the merchant. Any dispute with the quality or performance should be resolved directly with the merchant.
- The Bank may at any time at its sole discretion terminate the IPP in respect of a Credit Card account if:
- The Credit Card account is cancelled or terminate (or notice of cancellation or termination of Credit Card Account has been given) by Cardmember or the Bank for whatever reason.
- The default in the payment of any amount due under the OCBC Cardmember’s Agreement or any instalment due under these Instalment Payment Plan Usage Promotion Terms & Conditions.
- Breach any of the provisions of the OCBC Cardmember’s Agreement or these IPP Terms & Conditions.
- In the event of death or a bankruptcy or Cardmember are unable to pay the debts as they fall due.
- The Bank reserves the rights and at its absolute discretion to withdraw, cancel, suspend, extend or terminate this Promotion earlier in whole or in part, or to vary, delete or add to any of the terms and conditions herein at anytime.
- The Bank shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts in respect of the Promotion offered and published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials.
- In no event will the Bank be liable for any losses or damages (including without limitation, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, in connection with this Promotion and/or the goods and services, even if the Bank has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded.
- The Bank does not make and hereby expressively excludes and disclaims any representations or warranties with respect to the goods and services, in particular, the Bank gives no warranty or endorsements, express or implied, written or oral, including but not limited to, any warranty of quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in respect of the goods and services.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia, and all eligible Cardmembers who participate in the Promotion shall be deemed to have agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian Courts.
